IKY strives to take all possible steps to build a safe online community. We advise all our users to follow the safety guidelines to stay safe during your IKY experience.

Online Safety

Safeguard your information

Never share personal information, such as your home/ work address, details about your daily routine with people you don’t know.

Protect Your Personal Information (same as the above guideline, can combine if needed)

Never share personal information, such as your home/ work address, details about your daily routine with people you don’t know.

Never Send Money or Share Financial Information

Never send money, especially over bank transfer, even if the person claims to be in an emergency. Transferring money is like sending cash — it’s nearly impossible to reverse the transaction or trace where the money went. Never share information that could be used to access your financial accounts. If an IKY user asks you for money, report the matter to us immediately.

Report All Suspicious and Offensive Behavior

You know when someone’s crossing the line and when they do, we want to know about it. Block and report anyone who violates our terms. Here are some examples of violations:

  • Requests for money or donations
  • Underage users
  • Harassment, threats, and offensive messages
  • Inappropriate or harmful behavior during or after meeting in person
  • Fraudulent profiles
  • Spam or solicitation including links to commercial websites or attempts to sell products or services

You can report any concerns about suspicious behavior from any profile page or messaging window or by sending a mail to support@ikyapp.in. For more information, check out our Community Guidelines.

Protect Your Account

IKY will never send you an email asking for your username and password information — if you receive an email asking for account information, report it immediately.

Always be Respectful and Kind

Users should always be respectful and treat matches with the respect that one would like to get. Not every match is going to be right for you so closing communication with matches and letting matches close communication with you is a natural and healthy part of the process. IKY is about bringing two compatible people together who have a solid foundation from which a long-term relationship would have a high probability of success. Every user still needs to carefully consider whether this particular person is the one with whom he/she would like to build a relationship. If the user feels the need to end communication, then be honest, direct and polite. The sooner the user addresses this determination, the better.

If a recommended match feels the need to close the communication with the user, please respect their wish. If the user still persists, then IKY could be constrained to take adequate steps to prevent such users from receiving such services.

Meeting in Person, Take your time

Don’t be in a rush, get to know the other person before agreeing to meet or chat off IKY. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to screen for any red flags. A phone or video call can be a useful screening tool.

Meet in Public

For the first few times meet in populated, public places. If your connection pressures you to go to a private location, end the date.

If You Feel Uncomfortable, Leave

It’s okay to end the date early if you’re feeling uncomfortable. In fact, it’s encouraged. And if your instincts are telling you something is off or you feel unsafe, ask people around you for help.
